Jim Loftis

Jim Loftis is one of six laywer members on the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission an organization that is charged in selecting candidates for appointment by the Governor to fill vacancies on the Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeals, the Court of Appeals, District and Associate District Judgeships, and the Workers' Compensation Court. Also, the commission is responsible for adminstering discipline and hearing complaints in the Oklahoma Judicial System.

Loftis represents Oklahoma's 4th Congressional District encompassing South Central Oklahoma.

Loftis is an attorney with the Norman based law firm of Loftis and Barnard. Loftis specalizes his practice in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, and Insurance Bad Faith[1].

Loftis was also an Adjunct Professor in Civil Pretrial Litigation at the University of Oklahoma College of Law from 2000-2007[2].

Judicial Nominating Commission

Loftis was elected by the Oklahoma Bar Association to serve a five year term on the [[Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission in 2008. Tom Loftis term on the commission expires on October 5, 2013[3].
