Jimmy Carter, President from 1977-1981

261 judges nominated by Jimmy Carter were subsequently confirmed and served on the federal bench. Also, during Carter's Presidency came the creation of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals which created a new circuit for Georgia, Alabama, and Florida by breaking up the Fifth Circuit.
