Joanna Seybert is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She joined the court in 1993 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton.
Early life and education
Seybert graduated from Cincinatti with her Bachelor's degree in 1967 and also graduated from St. John's-New York Law with her J.D. Degree in 1971.[1]

Judicial career
Eastern District of New York
On the recommendation of New York U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Seybert was nominated by Bill Clinton on September 24, 1993 to a new seat created by 104 Stat. 5089 which was approved by Congress. Seybert was confirmed by the Senate on November 20, 1993 on a majority voice vote and received commission on November 24, 1993.[2]
