Joel Harvey Slomsky is a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was appointed to the court by President George W. Bush in July 2008 and joined the court later that year.[1]

Education

Slomsky received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1967 and a J.D. from New York Law School in 1970.[2]

Slomsky was nominated to the court by President George W. Bush on July 24, 2008 to fill the seat previously occupied by James Giles. lomsky was confirmed by the Senate on September 26, 2008 and commissioned on October 6, 2008.[2]
