Joel Wilson was a candidate for the Ninth Circuit Court of Florida in 2012.[1]

Education

Wilson received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Upper Iowa University and his J.D. degree from Florida State University.[2]

Career

Wilson began his career as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office. After about two and a half years, he joined the Public Defender's Office, where he worked for about one year before entering private practice. He was an attorney with Calzada, Hamner & Wilson for a year and a half before starting his own Wilson Law Firm, P.L.[2]

2012 election

Wilson received 30.1% of the vote in the Aug. 14, 2012 primary. He was defeated by Leticia Marques in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 42% of the vote.[3][4][5][6][7]
