John Donahue

Judge John M. Donahue was elected to the Circuit Court Bench on November 2, 2004. Judge Donahue currently serves as Judge of Michigan's Second Circuit Court.
Prior to taking the bench he was an insurance defense litigation attorney and municipal law attorney with the law offices of Straub, Seaman & Allen, P.C. While a practicing attorney he argued cases before the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals, as well as practicing in circuit courts throughout the state.[1]
Legal education and experience
Judge Donahue graduated from Niles High School in 1972, received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Judge Donahue, upon graduation from law school, served as a law clerk to Berrien County Circuit Court Judges Burkholz, Hughes, Taylor, Grathwohl and Hammond.[2]
