John Francis McCabe, Jr. is an associate judge in the criminal division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1] He was appointed to the court by President Barack Obama and sworn in on February 24, 2012. [2] [3]
Education
McCabe earned his bachelor of arts in economics from Duke University in 1980 and his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1986.[4][5]
Career
Prior to his appointment as an associate judge, McCabe served the court as a magistrate in the Family Court division since 2002. From 1998 to 2002, McCabe was an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington and before that he was an assistant corporation counsel in the city’s Office of Corporation Counsel. [4]
