Biography
Fernandez received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Miami.[1]
Career
Fernandez worked as an assistant state attorney in Miami from 1989 to 1993. He then entered the private practice, working with the law firm of Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell until 1994, as a sole practitioner until 1995 and with Essen, Essen, Susaneck, Canet, Fernandez and Goodis until 2002. From 2002 through 2006, he worked as a sole practitioner and associate counsel for the Professional Law Enforcement Association. In 2007, he joined the Miami-Dade County Court bench, where he served until his appointment to the Circuit Court in 2010.[1]

Fernandez was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[3]
