Joseph F. Murphy, Jr. is a former judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals, who represented the 2nd Appellate Circuit since December 17, 2007. He was appointed to the court on December 4, 2007[1] by Governor Martin O'Malley. He was retained by voters in the 2008 general election.[2] He retired on August 5, 2011.[3]

Education

Murphy attended Boston College, A.B., 1965; and the University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1969.[4]
