G. Joseph Pierron, Jr. is a judge on the Kansas Court of Appeals. He has served in this position since December 11, 1990.[1] He was retained by voters in 2008 [2] to a term ending in 2014. He was retained again on Nov. 6, 2012 for a term that expires on December 31, 2016.[3]
Education
Judge Pierron graduated from Rockhurst College in 1968 and the University of Kansas School of Law in 1971. [1]
Legal career
Judge Pierron began his legal career in 1971 as an assistant county and district attorney in Johnson County. In 1972, he also served as a municipal judge of Spring Hill. He became a district judge on the 10th Judicial District Court in Olathe in 1982 and he held this position until he was appointed to the Court of Appeals.[1]
2012 election

Pierron successfully stood for retention on Nov. 6, 2012.[4][5] He earned retention with 74% of the vote, gaining 654,838 yes votes.[3]
