Early life and education
Judge Tucker earned her B.A. from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri in 1983 and her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1986. [2]
Professional career
Before joining the court, Tucker served as a judge on the Orange County Superior Court, from 2002 to 2010. From 1987 to 2002 Tucker was in private practice with the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP as a partner and an associate. She also served as a law clerk to John Gibson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. [2]

Central District of California
On February 4, 2010 President Barack Obama nominated Tucker to a seat on the United States District Court for the Central District of California. [2]
Tucker received a rating of "Unanimously Well Qualified" from the American Bar Association. [3]
