Chillicothe, Ohio: Judge Thomas E. Bunch has announced that he plans to retire from the Ross County Municipal Court, Ohio at the end of his term in December of 2011. He has served on this court since 1993 and is now 61 years old. Prior to his judicial election, he worked as an assistant law director and a private practice lawyer.

Dottie Fay, the Ross County Democratic party chair, stated, "I'm very sorry to see (Bunch) go because I think he's a great person and does a good job." Bunch said, "It will be good to step away healthy and at my own choosing...I've been honored and humbled to serve the citizens of Ross County, and I wish my successor all the best in a position that has both challenged me and fulfilled me throughout my years on the bench."
