Judge Cohen joins the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court

Albany, New York: Justice Jeffrey A. Cohen, current judge of the New York Supreme Court's 9th Judicial District, was appointed by Gov. Paterson to the Appellate Division, Second Department. Justice Cohen has been a Supreme Court Justice since 2010 and was praised by the Governor for his "experience and dedication on the bench".

Justice Cohen has worked as a confidential law clerk, trial attorney, founding partner of the firm of Cohen, Timko & Moses, LLP, Yorktown Town Justice, acting judge for multiple City Courts and judge of the Westchester County Court. He was elected to the state Supreme Court on November 3, 2009 and took office in 2010.[1]
