Colorado: Judge Kathleen K. Hearn has announced her retirement from the Pueblo County Court. She will step down from the bench on June 30, 2011. [1]
Hearn was appointed to the court in December 1995 and has served in the position since. In retirement she hopes to spend more time with her family. [2]
The Tenth Judicial District Nominating Commission will meet in June to select nominees for possible appointment to the vacancy. The governor will ultimately appoint a new judge to succeed Hearn. In order to serve on the court, one must be a resident of Pueblo County and licensed to practice law in the state. [1]
