Judge Named for Salt Lake City Justice Court

Salt Lake City, Utah: Mayor Ralph Becker announced Catherine E. Roberts as the new Salt Lake City Justice Court judge. She will be filling the vacancy left behind by the resignation of Judge Holly M. Barringham on July 29, 2011.[1]

Catherine E. Roberts works as a trial attorney with the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association. She works to represent clients in felony and misdemeanor cases in Salt Lake County, and has been doing so for the past eight years. She is currently the Legal Defender Association attorney at West Jordan Felony Drug Court.[1]

Roberts also spends her time as an editor of the Utah Bar Journal, and at the Utah State Bar’s New Lawyer Training Program, where she is a mentor.[1]

Roberts graduated from Smith College in Northhampton, Massachusetts with her B.A., and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law.[1]
