Florida: Judge Timothy Shea was ordered to be publicly reprimanded by the Florida Supreme Court earlier this week. The judge agreed with an accusation of judicial misconduct as found by the Judicial Qualifications Commission. [1] [2]

Shea was formally accused of misconduct after several demeaning statements were made to prosecutors in his courtroom. Among the statements made, he asked a female to get coffee for everyone in the room, in addition to suggesting that another female get another lawyer a sandwich. He also made comments and sentenced a defendant while his lawyer was in another courtroom. [1] [2]

Shea acknowledged his behavior and expressed remorse for his comments. [1]
