KALISPELL, Montana: Flathead District Court Judge Stewart E. Stadler has ordered a psychological evaluation of the man who was arrested after a six-hour standoff at a Kalispell hotel.

Judge Stadler gave the order following Mulligan's submission of a handwritten letter asking to represent himself and plead guilty to two felonies. Mulligan said that he wanted to plead guilty in order to avoid or reduce his time in federal prison.[1]
