Judgepedia:Katy Farrell
Katy Farrell is the Editor of Judgepedia. Katy joined the wiki as an Assistant Writer in February 2010 and became State Courts Project Director in September 2010. On April 1, 2012, she took on the role as Associate Editor, a position she served until becoming Editor in January 2013. Katy is responsible for managing the content for all projects on Judgepedia, managing the wiki's staff, and responding to requests and concerns from readers.
While at Judgepedia, Katy helped develop the wiki's election coverage, news coverage for the state and federal courts, and information about judicial selection and appointments. As Editor, Katy is responsible for the accuracy and updating of all WikiProjects.
Two areas on which Katy has focused have been judicial selection and judicial elections. As a continuation of this interest, in August of 2011 she live tweeted and wrote a report from a conference in Denver on Evaluating Appellate Judges.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Katy has always had interest in politics. In high school and college, she created objective voter guides for her friends and family during election seasons. Katy pursued her interest at The Ohio State University, receiving a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Katy has lived in Ohio, Idaho, Oregon and California and has worked in a variety of industries. She has also volunteered on a gubernatorial campaign and with a trail angel on the Pacific Crest Trail.
