WikiProject federal judiciary/news is a project to organize and expand coverage on federal judiciary news within the broader news coverage on Judgepedia.

The words in ITALICS need to be replaced with the appropriate names and dates. STATE tags only need the state name. Month tags need the written name of the month (January, February ...). LOCATION tags should be specific as possible and COURT should be replaced with the relevant court. Category should be replaced with the appropriate category, either Category:Federal judge transition news for news about transitions to senior status, vacancies caused by resignation, deaths; or Category:Federal judge appointment news for new appointees.

News stories that link to either judges or court pages should be included in that pages "See also" section of that page. The proper format for including it is as follows:

Discussion pages
- For each page make sure you add the state project template to the discussion page. This will be the state postal abbreviation. The template will look like {{al}}. It will look something like this:

- Also, please add {{wn}} to the discussion page for any news articles you write. This tags the article as being in the "news" portal and allows other users faster access to the news component of Judgepedia. When you add that template, this will appear on the article's talk page:

- Also add the federal project tag using {{wfed}} which looks like this:
