Julie Kunce Field is a judge of the Colorado Eighth Judicial District. She was appointed by Gov. Bill Ritter, effective January 1, 2011. She will face retention elections in 2014.[1][2]


Field received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1982 and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1985.[3]


Before joining the court, Field was the founder and Executive Director of the Confidentiality Institute. She has also worked as a professor at several law schools.[3]
