June Berry Darensburg is the Division C judge of the 24th Judicial District in Louisiana. She was elected to this position on April 1, 2006 and was re-elected without opposition in 2008.[1][2] Her current term expires on December 31, 2014.[3]

Education

Darensburg earned a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1985. While working as a pharmacist, she developed an interest in law which led her to attend Loyola University School of Law full time, eventually graduating in 1994.[4]

Career

After graduation, Darensburg worked in private practice while serving the Jefferson Parish Indigent Defender Board. She was also an associate at the LeBlanc Butler Law Firm where she specialized in product liability and insurance defense.[4]
