Schering-Plough tax refund

Judge Hayden ruled on August 31, 2009 that Schering-Plough could not receive a $473 million dollar tax refund in relation to two tax shelters the company used in 1991 and 1992. The judge ruled that the company used the shelter to avoid taxes on $690 million in profits. Attorneys for Schering-Plough plan to appeal the ruling to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. [2]
