Kathianne Knaup Crane

Kathianne Knaup Crane is currently a judge on the Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. She was appointed to this position in July of 1990 and retained in 1992 and 2004. From 1995 to 1996, she was the Chief Judge. Her term expires on December 31, 2016.[1]
Biography
Judge Crane was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her A.B. degree from Washington University, St. Louis after studying abroad at the University of Strasbourg. She went on to earn her J.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law. From 1967 through 1968, she served in the Peace Corps.[1]
Legal career
From 1972 through 1980, Judge Crane worked as a private practice lawyer. She then became an Assistant United States Attorney until her appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1990.[1]
