Kathleen McCarthy is a judge of the 3rd Circuit Court in Michigan. She has served in this position since 2001, following her election on November 7, 2000.[1][2] She was re-elected in 2006 for a 6-year term that ends on January 1, 2013.[3]

2012 election

McCarthy is one of 17 candidates competing for 16 seats on the 3rd Circuit Court. Only one candidate is a non-incumbent.Nine non-incumbent challengers will compete for three positions in the primary election on August 7, 2012. [4]

Education

McCarthy received her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1988 and her J.D. degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1993.[2]
