Kathleen McCarthy is a judge of the 3rd Circuit Court in Michigan. She has served in this position since 2001, following her election on November 7, 2000.[1][2] She was re-elected in 2006 for a 6-year term that ends on January 1, 2013.[3]

Education
McCarthy received her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1988 and her J.D. degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1993.[2]
Legal career
McCarthy ran her own law firm, specializing in family law and personal injury litigation, prior to her election to the Circuit Court in 2001.[2][5]
