Kenneth R. Fisher is a judge on the 7th Judicial District Supreme Court in Monroe County, New York. Fisher was appointed to the court in 1995 by Governor Pataki and was re-elected to it on November 3, 2009. His current term expires in 2022.

Judge Fisher is a Republican. He is "rated 'highly qualified' by the Monroe County Bar Association, 'qualified' by the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys, or GRAWA, and 'highly qualified' and 'moderately sensitive' to racial and diversity issues by the Rochester Black Bar Association."

Education

Fisher received his B.A. degree from Williams College in 1974 and his J.D. degree from Vermont Law School in 1977.

Career

Fisher began his career in 1977 working in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant D.A. He left that office in 1984 and became a Deputy County Attorney in the Monroe County Law Department. From 1981 to 1986, he also served as Special Counsel for Steuben County. In 1988, he was appointed a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of New York. He was appointed to his current position as Supreme Court Justice on June 5, 1995 by Governor Pataki. He was also appointed Chief Administrative Judge to the New York State Commercial Division in 2005.
