Lamar John Ryan Cecil (1902-1958) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Cecil received a recess appointment from President Dwight Eisenhower to the Eastern District of Texas on August 31, 1954, to a new seat created by 68 Stat. 8; nominated on November 8, 1954; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 2, 1954, and received his commission on December 3rd. He served the Eastern District of Texas until his death on February 14, 1958.[1]
