Larry M. Himelein is a judge for the County Court of Cattaraugus County in New York.

Censure

Judge Himelein was censured for misconduct by the state Commission on Judicial Conduct. Himelein was found to have acted inappropriately when he sent mass e-mails to other state judges suggesting that they refuse to hear cases brought by law firms where state legislators work as attorneys. His attorney said that Himelein's "comments were borne out of his frustration over the legislative inaction" toward judicial pay rates. ^[1]
