Lawrence County is located within the Twenty Second Judicial District of Tennessee. The people of Lawrence County are served by a Circuit Court, a General Sessions Court, a Juvenile Court, Chancery Court and a Municipal Court.[1]

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee has jurisdiction in Lawrence County. Appeals from the Middle District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
