Leigh Ann Retelsdorf is a Nebraska District Courts judge for District 4, Nebraska (Douglas County). She was appointed to this position on May 5, 2009 by Gov. Heineman.[1][2]
Biography
Judge Retelsdorf received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1977. She then joined UNL's College of Law and earned her law degre in 1984. She is now married and has two children.[1]
Legal career
Retelsdorf worked as a Deputy Lancaster County Attorney and as a Deputy Douglas County Attorney. She was a Douglas County Attorney from 1987 until her appointment to the 4th District Court. She specialized in felony cases, especially those involving child abuse and domestic violence.[1]
Judicial Qualifications Commission
Judge Retelsdorf served on the Nebraska Judicial Qualifications Commission from March of 1997 to March of 2009.[3][4]
