Lewis County is located within the Twenty First Judicial District of Tennessee. The people of Lewis County are served by a Circuit Court, a General Sessions Court, a Juvenile Court and a Chancery Court.[1]

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee has jurisdiction in Lewis County. Appeals from the Middle District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
