The Licking County Court of Common Pleas is a trial Court of Common Pleas in Newark, Ohio.

2010 vacancy

There is a vacancy on the court due to the December 2009 retirement of Judge Jon Spahr. Applications are being sought to fill the position. Anyone appointed to the post must also run in the November 2010 general election to retain the seat. [1] Candidates for the seat are Municipal judge David Branstool (D), Licking County Assistant Prosecutor Brian Waltz (R) and attorney Robert Morris (R). [2]
