Lori Thatcher Quillen is the judge for the circuit court of Owen County in Indiana. She was first elected in 2012, and her current term expires in 2018.
Education
Quillen received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University. She received her J.D. from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.[1]
Career
Before serving on the Owen County Circuit Court, Quillen worked as an Owen Circuit Court Referee (from 2003), Judge of the Owen County Drug Court (from 2005), and Commissioner for the Owen County Commissioner Child Support Enforcement Court (from 2006). She also served as Director of Owen County CASA from 2004 to 2011; Director of Family Court Mediation Program from 2005 to 2006; Deputy Prosecutor of Owen County from 1996 to 2003; and attorney at Petri, Fuhs and Thatcher from 1989 to 1996. 2012 election
Quillen defeated Scott F. Bieniek in the 2012 election, receiving 54% of the vote.[3] The two were running to fill the seat left vacant by the retirement of judge Frank M. Nardi.
