Lucas County is located within the Sixth District Court of Appeals.

The people of Lucas County are served by a Court of Common Pleas and five Municipal Courts.

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio has jurisdiction in Lucas County. Appeals from the Northern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
