Lucy J. Gamon is a district court judge of District 8A of Iowa. She was appointed to this position in 2010. Previously, she was a District Associate Judge, beginning in 1993.[1] Her current term expires in 2018.
Education
Gamon was born in Washington, Iowa. She graduated from Cornell College in 1979 and received her law degree from the University of Iowa in 1983.[1]
Career
Gamon worked as a private practice lawyer from 1983 until her judicial appointment in 1993, serving with various law firms. She also worked as a Bremer County magistrate for two years. She joined the 8th District Court in 1993 as an associate judge. She became a district judge in 2010.[1]
2012 election
Gamon was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 73.79% of the vote.[2][3]
