Luis Bartolomei is a judge of the Fourth Judicial District in Minnesota. He was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton in December 2011 and must run for the seat in the 2014 election if he wishes to continue serving past appointment. [1]
Education
Bartolomei received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1994. [1]
Career
At the time of his appointment, Bartolomei was an attorney with Student Legal Services at the University of Minnesota. Prior that that, he had worked in private practice with the firm James C. Selmer & Associates, P.A. and served as an assistant public defender. Bartolomei has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Hamline University and William Mitchell College of Law. [1]
