Marc L. Lubet is a judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He ran unopposed for election to this position in the fall of 2006 and he took office the following January. He was re-elected in 2012 and his current term expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3]

Education

Lubet was born in Atlanta, GA on September 13, 1946. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the University of Mississippi Law School. He later taught at the University of Central Florida.[4][5]

Career

Lubet ran his own law firm, the Law Offices of Marc L. Lubet, P.A., prior to becoming judge. He focused on criminal law, family law, narcotics defense, first degree murder, DUI, violent felonies, forfeitures and extraditions. In 2006, he was elected to the Circuit Court, where he serves in the Orange County Criminal Division.[1][4][5]

2012 election

Lubet was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[6]
