Marilyn Skoglund

Marilyn Skoglund is a justice of the Vermont Supreme Court, and was appointed to the Court by Governor Howard Dean (D) on August 27, 1997.[1][2] She will be up for a retention election by the General Assembly at the end of her current term in 2012.[3]

Justice Skoglund received her B.A. from Southern Illinois University 1971.

Legal experience

From 1978 to 1981, she was Special Assistant Attorney General, and in 1981 became Assistant Attorney General, where she remained until 1989. She was Chief of the Civil Law Division from 1989 to 1993, Chief of Public Protection Division in 1993 until she was appointed to a Vermont District Court in 1994.[2]
