Mark M. Starr is a Minnesota Sixth Judicial District judge for St. Louis County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position in February of 2004.[1] Starr ran for election in 2012 and won. His current term expires in 2019.
Education
Starr received his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1978 and his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1981.[1]
Career
Starr began his legal career in 1982 as a law clerk for Judge Scherkenbach of the 6th Judicial District. The following year, he joined the law firm of Matonich and Persson, where he practiced until 1988. He then worked as an Assistant County Attorney for the St. Louis County Attorney's Office until his judicial appointment in 2004.[1]

Starr ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012. [2] He received 99.04% of the vote.[3]
