Stone was re-elected in 2010 after running unopposed. He received 98.92% of the vote.[2]

Education

Judge Stone graduated from Myrtle Point High School in 1970 earning a Diploma and Willamette University in 1974 receiving his Bachelor of Arts. In 1977 he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon. [3]

Career

  • 1977: attorney in private practice in Springfield, Oregon
  • 1978-1998: attorney in private practice in Coquille, Oregon
  • 1998-2010 : Circuit Court Judge for Coos and Curry Counties, City Attorney for the City of Brookings and the City of Myrtle Point and his law firm served as City Attorney for the City of Coquille. He also served as counsel for Coquille Valley Hospital, Port of Bandon, Myrtle Point School District, Security Bank and Coos Curry Federal Credit Union.[3]
