Marvin R. Baxter is an associate justice on the seven member California Supreme Court. He was appointed to the court in the state's Commission-selection, political appointment method of judicial selection in January of 1991 by Governor George Deukmejian. He was retained a full twelve year term in 2002. His current term will end in 2014.[1]
Education
Baxter earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from California State University, Fresno in 1962. In 1966, he earned a J.D. from Hastings College of Law.[1]
