Mary Stengel is one of seven citizen members serving on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission. Stengel serves Colorado's 3rd Congressional District serving the Western and South Central portions of Colorado including Pueblo and Grand Junction.

Background

Stengel is a women's health physician practicing in Durango[1]. Stengel is a practicing OB/GYN. Stengel also serves on the Colorado State Board of Medical Examiners.

Supreme Court Nominating Commission

Stengel was appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Owens in 2008 to serve a five year term on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission with her term set to expire in 2013.

Stengel is one of three Democrat Citizen members on the Colorado Supreme Court nominating Commission.

Personal

Stengel earned both her Bachelor's and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Mississippi. Stengel completed her internship and residency at San Bernadino County Medical Center in California.
