Van Epps advanced from the primary election, winning 29.42% of the vote. He was defeated by Thomas J. Dignan in the general election on November 6, receiving 42.28% of the vote. [1][2][3]

Education

Van Epps received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1981. He earned his J.D. from the College of William and Mary in 1984.[5]

Career

After graduating from law school, Van Epps worked in his family's law firm for two years. He then spent six years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Shiawassee County, before returning to private practice in the family firm in 1992.[5]
