Matthew E. Johnson is a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position by Governor Pawlenty and took office on January 1, 2008. His term expires on January 3, 2017.[1]

Biography

Judge Johnson is a graduate of St. Olaf College (1985) and William Mitchell College of Law (1992).[1]

Legal career

After receiving his J.D. degree in 1992, Matthew Johnson served as a judicial law clerk to Charles Wolle and then David Hansen. He joined the law firm Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd. in 1994. He then practiced with the firm Smith Parker, P.L.L.P. from 1995 to 2001 and the firm Halleland, Lewis, Nilan & Johnson, P.A. from 2001 to 2007.[1]

2010 election

Johnson was re-elected to a six year term after running unopposed. [2]
