Florida primary results are in; supreme court races are heating up
McCabe sworn into Superior Court
Washington, D.C.: John McCabe was sworn into his seat on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on February 24, 2012. McCabe was nominated to the court by Barack Obama in July of 2011 to fill the seat of former judge James Boasberg. His nomination was confirmed by the Senate last November.
Prior to his appointment as an associate judge, McCabe served the court as a magistrate in the Family Court division since 2002. From 1998 to 2002 McCabe was an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington and before that he was an assistant corporation counsel in the city’s Office of Corporation Counsel.
