Michael Gonzales is a judge on the Colorado Twelfth Judicial District. He was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper in September 2011 and must stand for retention in 2014 if he hopes to continue serving. [1]
Education
Gonzales received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University and his J.D. from the University of Colorado. [1]
Career
Before his appointment to the Twelfth Judicial District, Gonzales spent four years on the Alamosa County Court. He was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter in 2007. He also spent six years as Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial District. [1]
