Michael Bustamante

Michael D. Bustamante is a judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position in December of 1994, elected in 1996 and retained in 2002.[1] He is subject to a retention vote in 2010. [2]
Biography
Judge Bustamante graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1971 with a degree in Economics and American Studies. He went on to the University of New Mexico Law School and received his law degree in 1974.[1]
Legal career
Judge Bustamante began his legal career working with the law firm Ortega and Snead, P.A. In 1990, he went into a solo practice. He worked in this capacity until his appointment to the Court of Appeals.[1]
