Michael P. McCuskey is a judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. He joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by President Bill Clinton. McCuskey is the lead Article III federal judge for the court.
From 2004 to 2012, McCuskey was the chief judge of the court. [1]

Judicial career
Central District of Illinois
On the recommendation of Senator Carol Mosley Braun, McCuskey was nominated by President Bill Clinton on July 31, 1997, to a seat vacated by Harold A. Baker as Baker assumed senior status. McCuskey was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 2, 1998, and received commission on April 3, 1998. McCuskey is the court's current Chief Judge[2]
