Michael T. Vough is a judge on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected in 2011 and his term expires in 2022.

2011 election

Vough won the Republican and Democratic party primaries on May 17. He received 8.9% in the Democratic primary and 7.7% of the vote in the Republican primary. [1] He won election in the general election on November 8, receiving 13.7% of the vote. [2]

Campaign finance

Vough has spent nearly $54,000 since the May primary, more than any other candidate running for the office. He spent more than $215,000 over the course of the campaign, including a personal loan he made to the committee for $43,000 and a bill of $20,000 to DJV Enterprises for billboards.[3]

Vough received his undergraduate degree in accounting from The University of Scranton and his J.D. from the University of Day Law School. [5]

Career

Vough has been as attorney in private practice since 1991. He has also served as assistant Luzerne County district attorney since 1992 and solicitor for the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce since 1998. [5]
