Michael Wolff

Michael A. Wolff is an associate justice of the Missouri Supreme Court. He was appointed to this position in August of 1998 by then-governor Mel Carnahan, a Democrat. Wolff's current twelve-year term on the court expires in 2012.[1]

Biography

Justice Wolff received his B.A. degree from Dartmouth College (1967) and his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is now married and has two grown children.[1]

Legal career

Justice Wolff began his legal career in 1975 as an assistant professor. He became an associate professor in 1977 and began teaching at the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1980. He was then appointed to the Supreme Court in 1998. He served a two year term as the chief justice of this court from 2005 to 2007.[1]
