Missouri Supreme Court rules on closed meeting case

Missouri: The Missouri Supreme Court has delivered a ruling that rejects the claims of County Commissioner Jay Purcell that he and the rest of the commission engaged in an illegal closed meeting. The Supreme Court, however, did not rule as to whether the meeting was indeed illegal by violating the Sunshine Law, but rather ruled that Purcell was not entitled to the right to sue because he was a part of the allegedly closed meeting. The state trial court, however, had ruled that the meeting did not violate any Sunshine Laws anyways.[1]
